1- Galvanic (sacrificial) anode: Galvanic anodes are used in any condition that permanency current won't be available, in protection of interim projects and in small construction and structures.

1-1 magnesium anodes: standard and high potential Mg anodes are the more consumable sacrificial anodes for underground pipelines and above ground tanks.

1-2 aluminum anode: these anodes are suitable for cathodic protection of marine structures. the common type of aluminum anode is Al-Zn-In type.

1-3 zinc anodes: these sacrificial anode is used in sea water and soils with low resistance. Zinc anodes are cast from high purity zinc.
